Forged from decades of precision engineering excellence, Sheffield Technology specialises in advanced laser processing and fabrications services.
Sheffield Technology, a new company grounded in a strong pedigree in precision engineering, metals processing and quality systems, entered a new chapter in 2025 under the ownership of ASDAM, a leading sovereign defence and advanced manufacturing group.
With a senior management team focused on quality and committed to delivering the highest standards of service while simultaneously looking to add value, we continue to strengthen our customer relationships.
Regardless of requirements, we apply the same exacting standards to single orders for one-off laser-cut components or complex assemblies. We have in-house capabilities for bespoke and batch fabrications, with facilities to laser cut material 6m x 2m and up to 60mm thick. Our combined experience is drawn from all manufacturing sectors, including Aerospace, Defence, Energy, Nuclear, Transportation, Shipping and Offshore (to name a few), and from supplying to all points of the globe.
We can provide full build-to-print work packages comprising high-integrity fabrication, machining, assembly, inspection and testing services, supported by project engineering, quality, commercial management, planning and administration.
As part of ASDAM, Sheffield Technology benefits from additional investment, global capability and alignment with international defence and advanced manufacturing programs, enabling us to continue growing while maintaining our engineering heritage and high standards of service.

Our history
Operating from a designated site of special historical interest, Darnall Works has a heritage in processing steel dating back to the late 19th century, which includes an almost complete, late Victorian steelworks with gatehouses, offices and boundary walls.
The standing and buried remains encompass a range of technologies, including a late 18th to early 19th century glassworks that formed part of the first steelworks complex, and a sequence of coal, coke, gas and electric-fired steel processing buildings dating from the 1830s to the early 20th century.
Originally, the site was part of the Don Glassworks from the late 18th century, before becoming Kayser Ellison then Sanderson Kayser Steelworks in the early 20th century (www.youtu.be/q-BVuQZSm08).
